A1 Bassline Launches SourceUNKNWN

Christian Sibthorpe AKA A1 Bassline launches his own imprint in August this year, by the quality of the 1st release we can tell its going to be the place to go for some sick music! The maiden EP from the man himself, entitled "Slur/Slingback" is a masterpiece of deep house/techno vibes, with a nod to upfront bass music. Recorded at Dogstock this year, its a brief flash of the energy that these guys can produce on stage. Coupled with Mcs Duke01 and Ty Healy; they blast out some big head bopping rhythms whilst doing nasty things to bass guitars! Its a great set from these guys and definitely worth a listen!

Teen Carnage - Down For EP (TPM35)

Well here it is! The long-overdue debut EP of Nottingham duo Teen Carnage...after lots of positive feedback on their first couple of tunes they kindly put up for free DL, they've been hard at work with these two future thinking bass/juke masterpieces. The title track, "Down For," is a dark, juke-inspired, sub heavy track. Taking a UK bass twist to the frantic footwork style, a beautiful combination of deep bass, twisted vocals and tight percussion. The other track, "Freak You" is on a similar vibe, but with a larger influence from juke percussion, frantic yet very late night, with a hint of grimey synth stabs.

Along with these tracks come two remixes of Down For. One from Nottingam's Anex, who puts a spacey, deep dubstep twist on the track, a 4am anthem for sure. The other remix comes from Wonky Ninja, putting a downtempo electronic spin on the track, which is still proving to get people moving. A complete package of aural treats which comes highly recommended.
