Two new dubbed out house tracks here from TOYC..very late night feel to these two, chilled out but still with that kick to them. The percussion, as always, is on point, clicks, whistles and hats fill the gaps between the haunting synth riffs perfectly, while the echoing stabs add to a great ambience of the two tracks...seriously advise checking these out with the rest of TOYC's tunes on soundcloud!

Indidginus - Doo-step

Finally i've gotten round to putting this up...its been sitting in my inbox a while getting better and better everytime i've listened to it. Its all about the idea that Michael Martin (A.K.A Indidginus) is on at the moment....its dubstep/reggae/dub/dancehall inspired tunes, with live digeridoo bass!  I think its a really interesting concept...def some interesting noises going off here...he has an album popping off right now as well..the "Sofa Sufer" Album....

Very very cool ideas. The album itself is a very "feelgood" music, raging from reggae dub, to dancehall, to dubstep riddims; a mashup from these influences gives off a big vibe nothing but deep, heavy and large. Check out the Sofa Surfer album promo mix below as well:

Another highly recommended new night happening in Leicester city here: Another one from the guys at Superfly! Fly 500 is a fresh new night going off on fridays! 

Venue: De Montfort Student Union, recently refurb'd with brand new equipment and decor, its the perfect place to rave. FLY500 aims to be the biggest house party the city has ever seen, without the clean-up!

Hey hey, quick little heads up on a new weekly night coming up in Leicester this year!

This new night; "The Underground," is the brainchild of the guys behind Superfly in Leicester, and they are bringing down some seriously good DJs/Producers for FREE on a thursday night! Check out the business below!

The Venue: Brand spanking new bar "The Interlude" on DMU campus by the Quay is the home of The Underground, a basement rave space with a state of the art Void Soundsystem newly installed...(trust me, its loud)

The Music: Underground; not for the playlist. As the name suggests, they won't be booking Lady Gaga... expect pioneers of the bass music scene, a plethora of local brands and DJs on hosting duty, plus a weekly art exhibition with giveaways to collect every week... and it's all free to get in! How about that?

Check these guys out...new exciting thing from Nottingham that play "analog live dance music" from this two piece called "Our Helical Mind"

They specialise in making dance music without the aid of laptops, computers, sequencers or samplers, and i've gotta say its a pretty mean combo and live act. Generation Bass Presents: Moombahluv Vol. 1...

If you didn't think that moombahton was just about the quickest moving genre on the planet, then this album is, in my humble opinion, defining proof that it is here to stay. This kind of awesome diversity in such short time shows that serious talent is afoot within the producers of this genre.

"Moombaluv" shows the more subltle sounds of moombahton, 17 carefully handselected tracks which relate to the emotion of being "in luv." The lighter, not-necessarily-club-listening, long summer nights and good times. Its so nice to see a new musical style flourish like this, if anything it makes me a little wet behind the ears with the excitement of the next little variation of this sound.

At the risk of sounding cheesy..to me it's a soundtrack which brings back many happy memories of good times and warm weather! :)

In the word's of GB's own DJ Umb..Moombahluv is: "to show that it’s a genre of music, not just for the clubs, but also for listening to at home or in the car, when you’re feeling down, in luv or heartbroken and in the mood for romance."
